Joint 2 Joint - appreciation...

love this track, great vibe, classy music, extra fab lyrics and i really like the change around the 2 minute mark.

music

"Oh great, now U think U're my soulmate
U don't even know what kind of cereal I like
Wrong! Cap'n Crunch with soy milk
'cause cows are 4 calves
U'd probably take me 4 half
U don't love me, U're a faker
U just want me 4 my acres"

so much variation in this song, really, really cool

you like? smile

this too shall pass

glad you like this track, i can listen to this kind of music for ages.

the bass at 6.26 is poppin, the whole song is an adventure, so inobtrusive, and he makes his point so well lol

the backing vocals are colorful and refreshing, and the arrangement is top class. smile

One of my favorite tracks on Emancipation. I don't think it's ever been played live, though.

One of the best Emancipation tracks byfar. Very eclectic track, but funky throughought, with some great dark humor.

The first 2 minutes is increduolously incredible and the rest is pretty good too. If we're ever naked in the same machine...

Joint 2 joint, nothing comes 4 free
If U show your love, U can get with me
And if U light my candle, we can share the stone
Flames of desire, sweet gypsy moans
Sweet gypsy moans
Joint 2 joint {x3}

LOVE IT!

i could laugh forever and the balance will never be due, mayrain, but this thread is more about the over-all vibe and classic perfection of Joint 2 Joint wink

if the lyrics are becoming a focus then i agree with Prince about the soulmate thing, he says it so well, yet some still fail to listen

I'm glad someone has finally showed some love one of my favorite emancipation songs as well.

I had that song on replay for about a week in my car.

there's so much going on in this song it'd be hard to reproduce it live, but i bet he could do a great live version if he altered the arrangements. smile

Can I just say that not only do I LOVE Joint 2 Joint, but the entire Emancipation II CD is one of the best and sexiest ever, and completely underrated! What do you all think? I made my mom buy it for me for my 13th birthday...I think that scared her a little, but she knew my Prince obsession was already well-established. But Yes, Joint 2 Joint, and Emale, both super hottttt!

How'm I gonna fill this empty room...
