remember, the last time there was a "free" record is was Planet Earth. That record was not worth the price of the paper it was delivered in. I literally made a few coasters out of the cd.

Don't you like the excellent "Future Baby Mama" ? eek

F-B-M and the Planet Earth title track are worth the price, imo....... boogie

Exactly! FBM remains one of my favorite ballads from Prince. Anyway, I think this is an excellent plan Prince has come up with to distribute his new music across the world. I don't care what anybody says that man is a good business man now & a master at coming up with plans to put his hot music out...I give him his props & pounds for this..Also luv the title 20TEN & THE COVER ART.

you're accusing someone of "stupidness" when THAT'S your reply?

I've been reading BramblingMan's post and the responses to them. Trust me there's plenty of stupidity on here to go around.

And regarding those posts... If you don't want the CD then don't buy then magazine. That will keep you from spending any money on music you obviously have decided not to like without hearing if first.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

So I wont be able to buy this in stores?

I wont mind if the music is good but this this type of moves just oozes with retardation.

He wont make any profit and the people who want a physical copy of the album are going 2 be fighting over leftovers on ebay or paying 210 dollars to join the new website.

I was looking forward 2 his new album but this is just stupid as fuck.

I hope he doesnt mind when I upload it on youtube 4 every1

He'll make far more from one-off, high payments from these distributors than he would from physical album sales or even another Lotusflow3r.com style project.

Allegedly, Planet Earth made him £500k - he wouldn't have made a tenth of that if he'd went down the "conventional" route in the UK with that album.

So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

Sorry... Don't mean to be negative, but...

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of bitches complaining about FREE CDs. PE was NOT the piece of shit that some of you claim it was... Plus, in case you forgot... It was a FREE f....in' CD. I mean, WTF do you people want? ...Other than a pop star that will cater to your our own personal selfish needs.

There, I feel better now. Let the tired-ass rebuttals begin...

I see: so, we get the news that a new cd, which we do not even know if it's a whole album or a single, and that we assume may be called 20TEN, gets distributed by local magazines around the time of the concerts and you guys start saying:

1) 20TEN it's a crap name

2) it's distributed with a magazine so it MUST be crap and i will use it as a coaster

3) The artwork is disgusting

I see you do stop and think before typing a pressing the enter key...

The usual suspects are here again with their meaningless drivel. If you don´t like his current music you don´t have to listen to it. You don´t even have to post here. Isn´t there something better you can do with your time like posting on forums about artists you do like ?

when did prince grow a giraffe's neck? also...is the title REALLY 20Ten? has he lost ALL interest in being creative?

smile

I think the title IS creative. Remember in TRC... the opposite of NATO is OTAN? It may NOT

be spelled right, but maybe OTAN is in 20Ten...ONLY spelled 0Ten??? And as far as the

poster goes...cool the drawing is modern...exaggerated...abstract. It doesnt mean to

imply Prince has a giraffe neck and super lengthy arms. Just very artistic work. Flowing...like his

outfit he's wearing. Matches the outfit in fluidity. NICE!!! and CREATIVE!!! I like this peice of

art better than any art he has incorporated into his music ventures in a long time!!!

20 as in the day before the December 21st 2012 and Ten as in The End Nears wink

Agreee 100%.

I sometimes wonder why people still linger around here, when they apparantely don't like anything P is doing. It is a common problem nowadays to judge things before they exist in real; in this case in physical form.

But as usual that is my opinion.

Just wait until you've listened to it and THEN JUDGE.

20Ten is not a very good name for an album imo

I don't think it has to be crap because it's distributed by local magazines...... look at Radiohead.

The artwork is not very good indeed

Actually, who said that there would be an album called 20TEN?

The add just says something special "for 2010". That's all.
I see it as something special for this year (2010)...

Whatever this something special may be and whatever name it will carry...

Believe me Ludwig, I have been on the org for more than 6 years and almost always bypassed the complaining comments to skip to the actual news and reviews.

But I believe something lately have changed as it is coming to a point that you cannot ignore it anymore.

Bear with me: go to the very beginning of this same thread. You have the announcement of the Rolling Stone cd release and boom! immediately what else?

Unfortunately i see that it affects me. It does leave a bitter taste. And what is worse, the judgements are based on no actual fact.

I think it will be a CD of 20 of his top ten hits, hence the title. And if it's not, what so terrible? 1999 was a perfectly good title for an album but 2010 isn't? Get a grip.

After all, Prince is so creative/prolific and such a huge live box office draw that he can afford to consider an album of new material as strictly promotional material for a tour.

It used to be the other way around, you used to tour to promote the sales of an album.

Oh, and PE is a perfectly good album. Four good tracks at least: Title track, FBM, The 1 Eye Wanna C and Guitar.

So far? Looks that way. I'm Canadian though, so I can't say this is new: Lotus Flower still hasn't been officially released here (and obviously won't be at this point). It's available as a 30 dollar import, but that's not quite the same thing. That said, we've gone from nothing to hearing about two seperate releases today. Who knows what we'll learn tomorrow?

I've seen it in wrecka stows here (Canada) though I think they were about $30. Is that what you mean? Of course I got mine in the States but still it seems they're available.

That's exactly what I said, yeah.
