Best fantasy album dictated by track number...

Hey all.

Yup, bored at work - here's a noodle scratcher...

If official albums were re-shuffled and released as compilations albums according to track number, which would be the best one?

COMPILATION SERIES Vol.1 (Track 1's)

1. For You
2. I Wanna Be Your Lover
3. Dirty Mind
4. Controversy
5. 1999
6. Let's Go Crazy
7. Around The World In A Day
8. Christopher Tracey's Parade
9. Sign O The Times
10. Le Grind
11. Eye No
12. The Future
13. Can't Stop This Feeling I Got
14. Thunder
15. My Name Is Prince

(I'm only going as far as 1992 as 15 tracks is getting a bit silly!)

This one looks like a strong one for 'hits', I guess because P has always tended to put either the lead single or a strong title track as track one on most albums.

Any better ones folks? I'll type more of these when I have time, in the meantime please add! There should be some killer comps. out there based on this, and no doubt some real stinkers...

COMPILATION SERIES Vol.2 (Track 2's)

1. In Love
2. Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?
3. When You Were Mine
4. Sexuality
5. Little Red Corvette
6. Take Me With U
7. Paisley Park
8. New Position
9. Play In The Sunshine
10. Cyndi C.
11. Alphabet Street
12. Electric Chair
13. New Power Generation
14. Daddy Pop
15. Sexy MF

(I'm only going as far as 1992 as 15 tracks is getting a bit silly!)

Though there is a thread around here claiming otherwise, I beleive that Prince is VERY GOOD at sequencing his albums. You can tell when you look at these lists. The flow is off. I would get fatigued by an entire album of opening songs. Still, this game is fun...

I agree. This wasn't to prove any sort of point though. just for fun. biggrin

If anything, the sequences listed here should be strange by nature, as eg. the Track One's are just that: songs best for starting an album off, and not necessarily anywhere else. There's bound to be some weird ones.
