Which song this year played live was shocking to you?

I heard and read that he played everything from Michael Jackson to the arguably most favored outtake, Large Room With No Light. Not saying that the versions played were all primo or that they were not. I’m just saying that he played them and acknowledged.

I think it started really going down with the Super-bowl when he did Best Of You. Then he re-amped it with Radiohead’s Creep.
But I’m specifically talking about the year of the Lotusflow3r. My top three surprise shockers were:

1-Large Room With No Light
2-I’m Yours
3-Jimmy Eat World’s “-The Middle” that he played at the Oscar night after show.

Talk about obscure and a slap to the forehead. No wait, I'm high on crack, it would have to be Large Room No Light but Jimmy Eat World is almost a tie because of the obscurity of it all.

good thing I cook or else we'd starve to death...aint that a shame?

I was shocked when I did In A Large Room... Also I really love the For You album
so when I heard him do Im Yours after over 30 years, I was excited to hear it...

Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

He did some Jackson tunes too, before MJ's passing.

The last two years he has been playing a lot of obscure material. 'In a large room' probably takes the cake, but 'the love we make', 'I love you, but I don't thrust you anymore', 'Girl', 'All day, all night'. Those songs are awesome, if only for their obscurity!

you guys nearly mentioned them all but i was also very pleasantly surprised
to read that he performed "Northside" at the paisley park jam last month...

from what i gathered, it's just a part of a medly or something but i wish
he would dust that song off and jam on it at future gigs. it's a great one.
