Terrible repeat "article". PR is overrated and has been topped by the man over and over.

Im so glad P didn't get sucked into the media demand etc as they constantly would compare everything he did to PR...instead, P released ATWIAD like a badass and continued to challenge himself and us.

25 years on, the media are still trying to belittle him and feed the unknown that he is a has been. I suppose that's the price you pay when you challenge and belittle said industry.

...Doubt he cares, he's probably planning his next ultra successful move without "the powers that be".

No.

P is bigger than others for doing that and its more evidence he don't give a fuck and continues to innovate. If he was "reduced" for doing that, 21 nites would never happen. 21 nites happened because today, he is mega-legend, still releasing fantastic music, best live shows ever and he's also the last male superstar left.

I mean really???....I'm glad Prince is getting his props once again (thanks for the post, btw...)...But this is just lazy journalism...

The making of Purple Rain has already been written about two times already...Hell, I wrote one back in 2004 during the 20th Anniversary...lol....The editor-in-chief at Uncut should have chilled on this one....Unless Prince speaks on the making of PR, what else is there to say?

They forgot to mention the huge payday he got for "giving" the CD away in the Sunday paper or that he tripled the papers circulation that Sunday.

Like Prince said, Purple Rain was wonderful but it was his musical albatross, like Thriller was for MJ. Why can't Prince be appreciated for what he does now, and not what he did--what--thirty years ago? I'm with him, why not appreciate the NOW and not the THEN?! Get over it, appreciate it, dig what's new, and...move on!
