princes music always slowed us down so we could listen to what he was saying. we had donna summer....tellin us she worked hard for the money...(like momma would have) that kept us on the run... we had earth, wind and fire..tellin us about true devotion and reasons...we knew we had to stay disciplined... we had stevie...tellin us all the about how lovely his family was...we wern't there yet, but it didn't matter, the music kept us groooving. then prince comes on the scene....with this shy and timid voice....tapping on the door talking about...he cant stand to loose me, he cant stand the pain?? what??? I like this breakdown. And it rmeinds me again of how Prince was sort of the antitheis of the "traditional of what we were used to" vibe. By subterfuge or what have you, it seemed to aid in his success. good thing I cook or else we'd starve to death...aint that a shame?

Another one of those songs drawing me deeper, deeper, deeper into Princeland, the lyrics are heart-felt and romantic -- have to be careful-- don't look into his eyes! Love is so amazing
Yes you will be staying Why must it be you always creep into my dreams

Do you ever really stop loving your first love? IGBL was the very first Prince song that I ever LOVED. Always have loved it! Always will love it! Of course, I'm a Liberal! I'm an American, damn it!
This country was founded on the premise of Liberty and Justice for ALL...remember? My wallet is STILL on hiatus! ![]()

That song is beautiful. I've built a wall not to block anyone out, but to see who loves me enough to climb over it.

When i first listened i couldn't believe that was from a guy who played all instruments!(smooth, sexy & wet!) The Isley's Bro' wouldn't deny the paternity of that gem! The Ignorant asserts,The learned doubts,The wise thinks.
