Lovesexy Live

I just listened to Lovesexy Live in Dortmund and it may have taken over from Purple Rain Live in Miami as my favorite live performance. Not only are the song arrangements outstanding but the energy from the European crowd gives the concert an entirely different feel from concerts in the United States.

Yeah,its my second fav tour behind Purple Rain.

the way you can hear the audience start the "hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" chant...maaaaan.... takes me away somwhere everytime.

I have yet to hear/ see a performance better than that one.every thing fit.

I like his Lovesexy concert a little better than his Purple Rain concerts.

The video of it is also amazing and you feel the excitement! One of his best live show in my opinion.

Lovesexy; one of the best tours ever...period!

The Lovesexy tour was outstanding.... it was the first time I saw Prince in concert and is still my favourite "full" Prince concert I attended. A couple of aftershows rate higher but my opinion is probably biased because of their exclusiveness.

Prince was in RARE form during that time. He had a look in his eyes I have never seen before or since then. Even when he was performing Purple Rain, there was a strange energy that I had never felt. Watch him during that part. Hes not his normal "graceful" self. At times he seemed to be somewhat stumbling around while he was playing the guitar.
The tone in his voice when he says "Everybody sing it now".
Ive always said, if there was a time in his life when drugs were involved..it was during Lovesexy.
Great performance regardless of what his motivations were. Lovesexy tour will go down as one of, if not THE most legendary of all his tours.

i believe there is musically nothing i went more high on then the Lovesexy Live thing...i think it is the best Prince has ever done....

I'm a confirmed aethiest but when he asked us "Do you believe?" I almost did.
It was a highly spiritual performance, whipping up the audience with a Gospel fervour.

Still probably the best concert I ever attended. MSG/NYC

absolutely awesome .... getting to the 2 part vhs, and OMG he was amazing - hold on to it folks...u aint gonna see that again!
