I have to say its 3121. It appealed to youth plus it debuted at number one. its still one of my favorites.

Lotusflower - This album is pure fantastic. So many awesome songs, dreamer, $, feel better..., Wall of berlin, 4ever, and who could not forget boom!!

This album deserves some credit as one of the best albums of 2009, brilliant!

Co-sign. I love the sound of the whole album, it's just like new galaxy of sounds lol Much better than the crap on radio (*cough*Lil'Wank and bAkon*cough*).

Honorable mention: TRC

3121 is best. I am still listening to it. Black Sweat and Lolita are his funkiest and most catchy songs of the decade. Fury is his best rock/r&b of the decade. Title song is like a gem from the Parade area and Get on the boat is one of his most joyful rockabilly songs (I usually don't like that type of songs). Te Amo Corazón is a mystique piece of work and unique. The Word is well written and thoughtful. The rest is fine!

Don't get me wrong, I actually like the other albums, especially Planet Earth and LOtUSFLOW3R/MPLSoUND but for me 3121 is his best by far.

Hell yeah... 3121 has 3 stand out track the rest to me are either filler or bad studio recordings, FURY could'a been one of princes best tracks...EVER

I think 3121 is a good album, "Te Amo", "3121", Get On The Boat" are really good songs, "Te Amo" deserves a lot more love than it has gotten, but songs like "Love" and "Lolita" have turned me off so much i can not force myself to dig this one out from under my miscellaneous pile.

I will go with Lotusflow3r because he placed his trite and quaint "bubblegum granny funk" on a whole separate disc. Its a good thing he split the discs because a one-disc Lotuslow3r would have been completely trashed.

Lotusflow3r.

This has been a very solid decade for Prince - commercially and artistically. Things looked bleak after Rave and during the NPGMC period, but he pulled it together and is still going strong. Good for him! cool

If you mean in the past 10 years, it'd be Rave. If you mean in the 00's, it'd be Planet Earth, followed by 3121.

Interesting.
That opinion shows that there is no best album of the decade, it´s all about taste.

Imo, Rave and Planet Earth are the weakest albums that P produced
during the last 10 years, although i think PE has its highlights...

Oops, then 1999 is not 1999, I'm confused, better I stay out of the discussion.
Ok, I'll just go for the latest release then. I like it more than 3121 and Planet earth. Musicology second.

3121 for the first four tracks and "The Dance". The album's progressing quite wonderfully, and then you get to "Incense and Candles". Blegh.

when can do it softcore if u want,
but u should know i take it both ways

was gonna go w 3121 but then someone mentioned Incense and Candles and I remembered BLAB (or Blah!), so I'll go for Lotusflow3r which pips TRC, because of the lyrical content of the latter (altho musically it may win...)

You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably have to keep your normal job
