I think the cover for the SOTT single is a better example of "gender" bending.

I think they are referring to the SOTT 12" single with Cat posing as Prince with the Peach guitar. At the time, I remember an enormous buzz that this was Prince dressed as a woman. As a teenager, I thought it was him.
