Prince without MJ

Do you think if Michael Jackson had never made it into the music industry it would have effected Prince's career at all?

..My ideas for threads are really drying up.

Be like me and search Wikipedia for ideas lol,but we should be able to mention MJ im this forum to,were acting like Michael Jackson is Prince kryptonite.We mention Bowie,Springsteen etc all the time,it's just another artist.

I think Prince had a bigger effect on Michaels career rather than the other way around.

I think Prince had a bigger effect on Michaels career rather than the other way around.

I disagree. The Thriller album certainl sold millions without any help from Prince,Michael had always been a global figure, Prince had NO affect on MJ's career. In any way.

I think there are alot of similarities between the two and alot of differences, I think the fact that both of them being quite similar being able to rise as icons at the same time goes to show about incredibly talented and influential they are. I dont think either affected each others career in a positive or negative way. There fans recognize uniqueness in both of them. Maybe MJJ made it harder for Prince to break through in the beginning of his career, kinda like Beyonce made it hard for Rihanna in the beginning of RiRi's career but Prince had his own uniqueness that shined through.

Now I do think they both affect Trent D Arby's career lol
