Dan, I hate you, 'cause I love you. How can someone so beautiful write bullshit like that? The Gold Experience cover is his best, alongside Parade. The font is great, the symbol with the shadow behind it is like a stamp - it has a meaning: It's not the symbol somewhere in his work, in his heart or his lyrics. It's HIM now, his music, his art, everything he was then was the symbol. THIS album is credited to  .
Whereas the pic of him is hidden somewhere in the golden glittery colours - All that glitters ain't gold. For the first time in his life, it's not Prince, the persona, that is the guiding figure in his music. His face is hidden behind the mighty, fresh, meaningful . All you can see are his wet lips -

Worst album covers: - Emancipation (tacky and cheap looking, like a bad cut'n'paste job) - Musicology (same reason) I'd hate on Rave too but I find that unintentionally funny, so I won't include it. | |
