Taylor Momsen Starred in 'Purple Rain'? TMZ

Here's "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen (left) performing at some event last week -- and the legendary Prince back in the early 1980s (right).

One of them was 16-years-old when the photo was taken.

We're just sayin'.

they are commenting that taylor momsen is wearing that getup and she is only 16. she was born in the 90s, long after purple rain. they are trying to suggest she looks like prince circa 1980
