Well, I am old. Prince ruled the world from 1984 through about 1988. You could not pick up a tabloid in 1984/1985 without a story about Prince in it. It was great, but then again, Prince was pretty weird and the tabloids made him weirder, so if you were a fan, some people looked at you funny.

There was something amazing about the 1st time you heard a new Prince single on the radio, first swallow off a new album - LRC, WDC, Paisley Park, Kiss, SOTT, Alphabet St (the fun kinda stopped after that).
You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably have to keep your normal job

I remember when a friend called me around 11:30 in the evening... "man, they dubbed me a cassette tape of the black album, it's the bomb"; the day after, I went to his house and we played that shit for hours.

First boot experiences and the wondering what kind of bizarre stuff he was going to do next were fun.

[Edited 9/1/09 8:08am] Man, i swear, if i met a kid like you in school I would faint. Whenever i mention Prince in general I would just get alot of "prince? that gay purple rain boy fromthe eighties?" It's so frusterating. Goodness will guide us if love is inside us

Old guy here too. I was just playing my Madhouse album and I got to wondering how did we get all the information befor ethe internet? I'm not even sure how I found out Prince was involved with Madhouse, or any other people he wrote and produced for. But some how we found out. Then I would buy it all. I loved going to the record store because I would find the new Prince single and turn it over and...YES a new non album song! I'd be jammin that new song the a week or two later I would find a 12inch of it. There was always something new. If there wasn't a new Prince album, single, or other Paisley Park act then there was Jesse or Morris! Shut up already...Damn

LMAO, that reminds me how I found out about bootlegs. I was in the movie theater, watching "Graffiti Bridge". At the part when someone from the Time throws Prince's Hohner on the stage, I said kinda loud, "Don't you touch that guitar!" After the movie, this dude came up to me and said, "I heard you. You must be a big Prince fan. Do you have any bootlegs?" And the rest was history. Second Funkiest White Man in America

Back in the day when Prince was playing for "Vanity 6," during the "1999," tour, he didn't wear a shirt.
Last Night, I spent another lonely Christmas...Darlin' Darlin' U shoulda been there.~Prince.
