D'Angelo's version of "She's Always In My Hair" This is one of the funkiest and best Prince covers of all time. Do you agree?
Peace and be wild! | |

Very good cover of one of my favorite Prince joints,by a fellow VA native. Cant wait for James River to drop..... I know I got to be cooler than that cat you're sittin' with....

I wore out my Scream 2 soundtrack listening 2 this... I was shocked when I seen the symbol credited 2 this in the liner notes... that was early in my discovering of Prince... songs like this and others that I loved when I was younger kinda tells me that I was destined 2 admire the mans music

Yeah, I certainly agree. THIS is the only cover of a Prince song that I like. I remember when I first saw Scream 2 in the theatre, when I heard this, I was like "Oh shit! Whaaaaat?". SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

A lot of P fans trash this cover but I thought D did a good job.

I don't like it. It's totally missing the synthesizers.

Not bad, I must admit though that I was hearing Prince's version all the while i was listening D's version, it was pretty interesting.

Personally, as far as pure listening pleasure goes, D'angelo is Prince's equal and in some cases, superior, in some instances. D brings a joyful funk that touches the soul, like no other.

I don't care for it. "The sun, the kiss, the funk for a bliss.
The lips with the soul and some jazz for ya hips" - Digable Planets

Music is art, and can be interpreted in many ways, I'm the first to admit it; but I can hardly understand how any Prince fam doesn't really dig this remake, or other remakes such as Purple Flip.
