What's up with this "Prince Rogers Trio" thing? I read the story on Dr FB about Bria coming back to MPLS but what really got me was that there's some entertainment courtesy of The Prince Rogers Trio? I wonder what that's all about? Read below.
Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

The Prince Rogers Trio was the name of Prince's fathers band (he was named after the band)... he probably just reclaimed it | |

But why did he reclaim this name? To me, I'm thinking that there may be another "New Power Trio" thing going on here. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Who do you think the two musicians will be performing with him? Rhonda and John Blackwell? I wonder if Bria will be singing and the trio will back her up or like some of you state, a possible wedding ceremony this weekend. End of August, meaning this weekend obviously. Prince either wants it known that he and Bria R not together, or he's messing with folks. The line about The Prince Rogers Trio not being her first choice could be read several ways, but it sounds like humour. It's just that Prince has a very clever way with what I call half jokes... Humour based on something actual. I was thinking they were referring to Minneapolis as not being her first choice, but of course you're correct. That's funny
Ya know, the note does sound slightly bitchy. "Hey fellas, Bria is in town so get ready for some work out! And since she ain't getting paid anymo' she'll have to do with the Trio.  "
