THE CHURCH OF PRINCETOLOGY....

So if Prince had some deep spiritual awakening/epiphany and was moved to develop his own religion and church, would you be a disciple, a member or a critic?

Disciple status would require you devote yourself completely to Prince's teachings and forsake all your friends, family and earthly belongings to live by his side and spread his message to the lost and fallen. You live on a diet of truth, music, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. You have a specific hygeine regimen in which you bathe in castile soap and rub down with shea butter, lavender and almond oil so that the lost and fallen can smell you coming.

Member status would require you to attend his church on a frequent basis, abide by his church vows (be faithful to him and respect his word as final), take heed his weekly sermons, and service your community. Other than that, you get to do what you like as long as it doesn't bring him any grief. If you wish to become a disciple you have to be baptized and must undergo a 7 month long training.

Critic status would require you forego any delusions you have about being his lover, friend, or business associate. You get absolutely no freebies (concert tickets, t-shirts, bootlegs, fansite access or perfume samples). You cannot fraternize with members under any circumstance. If you wish to join the church you must first go through one of the disciples for cleansing and re-education. As a critic, however, you can say whatever the fuck you want when you want about any member or disciple. You also get weekly doses of clarity, reason and a month supply of stones and ready made poop balls.

I think I would be a member because there is still freedom to do as one wishes and I would love to help out my community. Plus how hard can it be to give Prince grief?

Actually no. If it were crazy obsessed Prince famish then it would be about how beautiful he is or another dedication to a song he no longer performs or worse, a thread about his jizz or his ass.

It's more of a playful examination of how far a journey would one take with Prince. Are you hardcore all the way, just rolling with the tide, or have you given up on the dude? I present this question in the context of religion since many fans see him as changing once he became very religious as opposed to spiritual. Lastly, it's also a consideration of whether Prince would ever entertain the idea of having his own church. Mel Gibson did it. Would you be interested in a church founded by Prince?

I think it depends on if a man believes that there is a kingdom of heaven. If a man does not believe in kingdom of heaven, he can achieve earthly peace by practicing the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You reap what you sow is a big philosophy of mine.

To live with God is inner peace

Moses lived in the desert

Aspiring to a kingdom of heaven or heavenly place can bring inner peace on earth. Inner peace can come from learning and taking the journey; a venture of healing. For Prince, his music brings him closer to God. The closer he gets, the cleaner and simpler the music.

I have to respectfully disagree with your statement about the closer Prince gets to God the cleaner and simpler his music gets. I don't think that the 2 are related at all, as far as the quality of his music and his relationship with God.
I do agree with that he is a work in progress. I think though, that his music has stagnated and has not moved forward in a while.

i couldn't belong 2 this church or any church 4 that matter, cause i want 2 THINK 4 myself and not sacrifice all the pleasures this world has 2 offer. helping another is one thing but at the cost of losing who u r? naw
