Don't listen to his hits anymore... My sister was listening to my playlist yesterday and she asked "where are his hits?..I've never heard any of these songs?"..I just said "blah" and that was it.Is there anyone else that listens more to the B-sides,bootlegs and other hidden gems?I think the last "mainstream" song I've listened to was Kiss and that was just to respond to a thread. "OMGl,Isn't that Prince on the television Saul?, is he the strangest thing you've ever seen or what?" |

I don't make it a point to listen to his hits. If I'm in the mood to listen to Prince, I listen to whatever album or song I want. It's not motivated by if it was a single or how high on the charts the song went. If that were the case, then I shouldn't even be here talking about him.  Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Yea i think my sister was talking about mainstream hits "The usual suspects"..I dont really give it any thought,just play whatever songs I feel..it just so happend that i haven't listen to those "mainstream" songs in a while,that's all "OMGl,Isn't that Prince on the television Saul?, is he the strangest thing you've ever seen or what?" |

I can say I probably unintentionally listen more to the the non hits, Most of my favorites by him I never heard on radio such as Something In The Water, Girl the extended version, Still Would Stand All Time, and lately I've been listening to Vicki Waiting alot. | |

I never listen to his hits either...purple rain, sign of the times, parade, all these albums i never to them either....mostly b-sides, remixes, gems and his latest stuff....my most listened song of this this decade (checked on itunes is Space (universal remix)) | |

Join the club. Stuff like Cream, Gett Off, Purple Rain, I haven't listened to these in years, there's very few of the big hits that still listen to any more. Not that they're not great, I guess my tastes just lay more under the radar. | |
