What did u think of the 21 nights book?

I personally was disappointed, i xpected to see a lot of pics from the concerts themselves, instead of prince posing in hotels with maids etc...

Very disappointed. It was hardly a real book at all. It was more of a photo gallery with some half written poems and lyrics. The photos were good, but when I heard Prince was adding "author" to his many titles, I thought it was going to be an interesting read. WRONG

And how much did this cost? Was this the book that came with that $2,000 ipod?

Yep, disappointed, really hoped for some live shots from London, not airbrushed or staged photos. It was a magical time and real live shots and behind the scenes pics would have been fantastic. Shame...

No, this was just the coffee table book with the Indigo Nights CD in it. It's still sitting in some book stores. I've seen it at Border, B&N, and even Target. The price has dropped a bit. It's not the Opus book you're thinking of.

Everyone seems disappointed with the 21 Nights book, but it's just a book. It's not a biography, or some essay on the London shows. It's just a big ass picture book with good photos, some lyrics and poems. It's the steroid version of NeoManifesto. I like it for what it is.

i love this book, yes there could have been more in concert pics - I was there one night when he was leaving in his car and a photographer was there telling us to scream - as if we needed telling but that pic never ended up in the book although I have to say I am glad cos screaming is such not a good look, must scare the pants offa p. Its a lovely book and I for one cherrish it and it really wasn't expensive at all and it had a loively disc too - whats not to like

I was able to pick up the book for $15 on clearance. For me, the Indigo Nights CD was worth the 15 bucks.

As far as the book is concerned, I am not only disappointed with the content of the book but also the fact that it does not neatly fit into my bookshelf.

It was alright. It doesn't do too much for me personally. I would have liked more concert pics but what's in there isn't bad but it doesn't grab me like I have to look at it again and again. The CD actually bored me and I still haven't finished listening to it. boxed Even with that said, I'm glad I have it for the sake of adding more stuff to my Prince collection.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

My expectations for the book were low to begin with, so I wasn't disappointed in that regard. I leafed through it once. Pictures of Prince obviously are supremely important to him, but I don't give a doo-doo about that kind of idolatry. The CD on the other hand was a big disappointment. Really the only reason I bought the book (pre-ordered at about $30) was for Indigo Nights. It's so lacking in excitement and spontaneity.

The CD was totally worth it, but the book failed for me because you can't really look at the pictures that well with the spine running through it.

Sacrifice of Victor had much better photo's and it opened flat so you can really appreciate them.

I love anything related to Prince pictures so I love this book-the cd is great also and it was nice of Prince to give us some insight into the O2 for those of us who couldn't go.
