Good Love - Most underated Prince song ever

This is pop perfection, should of been a number 1 global smash.

But alas it's been buried, and about 100 people in the world know this song. Such a shame.

It's my mission in life to turn people on to this piece of prince genius

Great song, yes. If I had to live on an island and could take 50 P songs with me, this would definitely be one of 'em.

It's one of his more whimsical tracks musically and lyrically. It was perfect for that time period.

first time i heard this was years ago-about 89 or 90 i think. I'd only just really got into boots-and they were tapes then.Anyway

I got this tape-now i know it was the camille album-but then-no track list-or cover-not bad sound but not brilliant-but that tape blew me away-in the days of Walkmans-it was always on mine

and yeah-this tune makes me smile everytime too-sounds like alot of us wer having good times then biggrin

I always wished he made a video for this one. It would've been crazy!
I remember leaving the record store and getting all the way home and reading about the Bright Lights, Big City soundtrack and freaking when it had a new Prince track on it. I turned right back around and went back to the city to get it.

I've got a new thread and a dildo 4 U. If U don't like the new thread then U can go fuck yourself!

I agree... its a shame this was buried away in a soundtrack (which is usually home 2 throwaway tracks)... this definitely fits the 80s pop mold and could've made some noise

I love this happy poppy tune. Always "brings a smile to my heart" PlethoraEuphoria would be my orgname if it was't KeithyT wink

Lots of people don't like it for the same reason (too poppy and childlike meaningless lyrics ets).

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

No way! Konk? New Order? M/A/R/R/S? Great tracks.

I think the M/A/R/R/S track, or possibly their work as Colourbox, was influential to Prince on Batdance.

I am totally elated to say I am one of those 100 people, as u all know this is in my Top 10 of all favourite Prince songs. Its got everything, funk, pop, playfulness, alter egos, great lyrics (Gustav Mahler jammin on the box), (Technicolour junkie in a funky square) and its totally sex, Prince/Camille was totally high on brilliance here. It was a great song form a great period, best enjoyed with other classics from the same period, Adore and Crucial
