Just listened to the studio version of Days of Wild. Numerous AMAZING live versions of this song including the Xenophobia Celebration (which I attended) but there is a studio recording.

But the studio version isn't officially available, only on bootlegs.

YES!!!!!

That is some relentless shit. If I ever (rarely these days) have a DJ gig - I like to warm it up with Xenophobia Live.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

There are two studio version neither of which received official release. He did perform it live during the Purple Rain Tour albeit briefly.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I agree with Just My Imagination, but if we're talking remakes he took Creep and pwned it.

For his own work, The War or Mutiny.

I've argued it before on this board, but a studio version of Days was on limited copies of The Gold Experience cassette. I always assumed it was because of the record companies trying to milk the last money they could out of tapes before they vanished, so they put extra cassette only tracks on many releases. Hell if I know where it is now, but I have the cassette with it on there, non-boot, but without it I have no proof whatsoever.

IT WAS NOT.

Sheesh, the simple fact that NO ONE EVER has managed to dig one of these mythical
tapes should be enough to kill this crap, but nooooo.

a big second on "Our Destiny/Roadhouse Garden"

It boggles my mind that, rehearsals aside, he only ever played this once. I've had my share of ups and downs with P since 1993, but if I knew for sure he was going to play OD/RG at an upcoming show, I'd start schlepping The Watchtower around just to make sure I was there for it.

Also, if they had released this as a 12" B-side, can you say club smash? At that point in the 80s, this could have wrecked dancefloors around the world. What could have been, I suppose...
