Have U heard this ?uestlove/Foreign Exchange and friends P tribute??

Phonte and Nicolay of Foreign Exchange recently let out this AWESOME tribute they did called "Purple Flip" (You'll know the song they're flipping the second the lyrics hit.)
They let it out as as a way of paying respects to a great legend still living among us.

"We recorded this over a month ago specifically for a ?uestlove tribute party dedicated to The Purple One himself. Other than passing it off to a few DJ friends who vowed to keep it on some secret squirrel, "bet you aint up on THIS!" status, no one has ever heard it. In the wake of the incredible loss we suffered on June 25 however, this joint took on somewhat of a deeper meaning.

We decided to share it with our fans not only as a token of appreciation, but also as a way of paying respect to one of our last living musical geniuses.

Let's not wait until tragedy strikes before we show love and gratitude to our heroes, people. Give them their flowers while they live.

This one's for you, Mr. Nelson. You are loved and appreciated."

Of course, any Prince Cover that ?uestlove is a part of is gonna be done with great Admiration.

Didn't like it.

I like the use of the Linn. And some of the synth lines. But the vocal melody was shize.

Not bad - if you're into "songs" that are completely devoid of melody.

Simply beautiful....the idea moreso the song itself. But who am I to criticize this heartfelt tribute?

We really must love those who are still with us. Gonna call an old friend or 2 this weekend, in the spirit of this song.

Very cool! Not just the song, but like mentioned above, for a heartfelt appreciation of living artist in the wake of loosing one.
You never appreciate what you got till its gone.

Love it very loving tribute 4rm someone that really appreciate Prince like ?uestlove. Unlike some or most of these so called fans that dissect and tear apart everything Prince does. In the wake of losing one of the best entertainers of all time. We should pay tribute 2 Prince while he still here and stop criticizing him all the time.In other words I HATE PRINCE FANS......
