I'm going to have to give TRC another listen. I purchased it when it originally came out. I could not get past that "voice" he used, so gave I away or sold it (can't remember).I did the same with Chaos and Disorder. Now Chaos and Disorder is one of my favorites. There is not a month that goes by that I don't listen to it.

If you enjoy songs about white jail bait and displaced blood lines, the insignificance of the holocaust, and how a woman should be subservient to a man--this album is for you!
Enjoy!

Just listened to it, don't like it very much besides "the work""1+1+1 is 3" and "she loves me for me."

I love TRC! Last December is fantastic. I love the Everlasting..., Family Name, Muse to the Pharoah...pretty much the whole CD. If you listen to it as a statement by an artist of the place in his life at the time of the recording you will become very enlightened as to WHO the artist IS. If you listen to it greedily as purely a consumer that wants to be selfishly entertained, you may not like it. It is a piece of insightful artwork IMO. I will admit, the "voice" interferes a bit with the flow from one song to the next, but I get WHY it's there. Sometimes, I wish it weren't...selfishly...Open mindedness is a must with TRC. Enjoy!!

I love this album, in fact, this thread just made me pop it on as I play some poker.

And now for a cup of tea.

I love this album as pure entertainment, I don't get into the whole religious vibe of the album but i do get that TRC, The Work, 1+1+1=3, EN, LD, and FN are some of my favorite Prince songs.

Do u promise 2 FUNK, promise u will keep it, promise u will keep the FUNK
