I liked the D&P hair and clothing, but Lovesexy is, by far, a superior album musically and lyrically. Ernest L Sewell, IV

Lovesexy. The minute I saw him with that big sexy, fluffed out hair, I litterally forgot my name and my mouth hung for about 6 minutes!

Lovesexy. Isn't a clunker on that LP - I actually play the untracked CD most often, even though I have the tracked disc too. Great vibe on that record. To be honest, I can't remember the last time I gave Diamonds And Pearls a spin. There are some songs that I dig on it like Gett Off and Strollin', but I put those on a compilation disc. I love the whole Lovesexy album, the sound is amazing, the concept is great: 10/10

 Agree. More true to the uncompromising vision of His Royal Badness. D&P is too calculated. I never listen to D&P anymore. The good songs are obscured by you-know-who. I also feel that D&P did some major damage to Prince's songwriting/composing part of the brain. So much of it is lazy, medicore and musically conformist. | |

I really don't care for the threads that compare one album to another. Both of these albums stand alone as great music. Their conscience is numb...
