I tried to address this in my Prince, Anal Stimulation,... digestion thread and various other "Prince,Anal stimulation...." threads. But it seems to fall on deaf ears.

Prince is always using double meaning in his songs that allow for the inference of a homosexual/bi-sexual theme.

He could have just as easily left the boy part out. Even though
the love he's offering isn't of a sexual nature, Prince knows the
word play game he's doing here

go to waste. He leaves an ambiguous interpretation wide open
in the lyric, and he's doing it on purpose. Prince is too clever
not to know what he's doing.
