i say Purple Rain But to say you can't stand Diamonds & Perals is insane.its a awesome song.They were both singles released from hit albums, and both charted high. They are radically different from each other in tone, production, and just about everything you could throw at this sentence but the kitchen sink. My vote goes to Purple Rain. Diamonds & Pearls is a beautiful POP song - however it just can't be compared to the Prince's signature rock ballad that is Purple Rain. We all know that. But I'm glad Prince is able to make POP also, if every song sounded like Purple Rain it all would be a little boring wouldn't it? I really love the "big four" singles from the D&P album... back to the question: D&P, the POP song... 9 Purple Rain.... the classic rock ballad... 10 just imo.. [Edited 6/10/09 14:22pm] Hello...
