On this date in 1987

On this date in 1987, Prince and his band made an
unannounced after-hours appearance at a private club in West
Berlin. They performed for an hour at the Quasimodo club following
the first of two sold-out shows in a West Berlin concert hall.

I was in the Navy, fresh from bootcamp, and either in my Sea School, OR on my two week break (back home in Tulsa, and OKCity) before reporting to Philadelphia to board the USS Independence CV-62.

I was in 2nd Grade today in 1987. My teacher was such a low class bitch but I digress. I was all about cartoons, my toys and buses. I loved buses, especially the city buses here in NYC and I wanted to be a bus driver back then. My 1st communion was around this time and my Dad had gotten me Around The World in A Day, my 2nd Prince album. Strangely, I didn't know that Sign O the Times was out at this time. I found it out when I saw the U Got The Look video on MTV in July and the next month Dad and Mom got me SOTT, my 3rd Prince album.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.
