They were onstage together at a James Brown show. Not sure of the year, pre Purple Rain.

Cyndi Lauper. I remember being at an ONA after party in Vegas some years back and she came out and joined Prince on stage for a bit. Pretty cool!

I also remember Sheila E. being super hyper and like screaming into the crowd at the end and if I remember right she pretended to throw a plastic bottled water or maybe squirt some out into the audience? I can't remember exactly, but I remember noticing how much energy she had, lol. I was so surprised and happy to see Cyndi L. of all people though!
