$ works every which way.... When the track "$" from Lotus came on I cracked a smile. It's fun, funky, simple, and original. I wonder if it was originally written back in the Parade/SOTT era. It sounded like he was about to break into the horns from "It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night at one point but instead went with a less dynamics one. It's style just reminds me of $ or Money, La La La, He He He, etc... . On another note the opening track for MPLS is probably the worst choice for an opener that he has ever made. Still his two discs exceeded my expectations, nice work P!!

Reminds me of "Sleep Around" from Emancipation. Which is a good thing.
I can see those 2, along with "Courtin' Time" being the theme music for an episode of Dancing With The Stars. |
