Rolling Stone Magazine Mentions Prince.org oh and Prince

wow....Full Story Here....
http://www.rollingstone.c...ms-riddle/

On message boards like Prince.org, many fans have already started complaining about the site’s bandwidth problems, its inability to recognize underscores in user name and passwords, downloading issues, choppy videos, its inaccessibility to Europe and more. Even figuring out how to enter Lotusflow3r proved difficult: Fans encountered a riddle of sorts just to access the site in order to pay $77. A purple ticket stub on the lunar ground of the Flash-heavy site was the gateway to purchasing the membership. The stub read “Mar. 07 _____, followed by _____, California,” and only by correctly filling in the blanks could you acquire a membership. Turns out, the answer (”1986″, “Los Angeles”) lay in the prelude to the “Kiss” music video that was being teased on the flickering television screen also on the Lotusflow3r lunar surface. We’re just as confused writing this as you are reading this, so check it out for at the site yourself.

I wonder how many people actually signed up for it. After a few problems at first it eventually worked fine for me.

It has great potential if he actually keeps up with it. We'll see....

i'm laughing too, after his history i didnt believe he'd get the handle on a glich free internet presence and he certainly cant take advantage of his amazing legacy. He'd do better to hold a meeting with WB and Itunes and cut a deal, let them handle it. I love him but it's just not a strength.

its exactly what i expected from prince, lol. unreliable, filled with goofy cryptic puzzles, all while he laughs at the hoops people jump through just to GIVE HIM MONEY, lol! lol

i did not join the club, i have my tickets to the shows, and i didn't need to get aggravated or annoyed or pay an additional 77 bucks. holler! lol

Add me to the list of those who had difficulty... then the .org saved me !

Firefox was the answer to why I couldn't get my username to stick... I knew NOONE else was using my username 'cause I was creating some crazy sh!t on the fly... i probably wouldn't have remembered!

Anyway, then, I FINALLY got through to enter my cc info, and it wouldn't take my VISA ! so I had to go downstairs & grab my AMEX...

Then, I FINALLY get in to search around and i was like ...WTF?

What's the point of pluckin' them guitar strings? I'm sorry but NPGMC was MUCH better !!! I used to let my kids play in the Music Room and they loved it!

The Video's DID break-up for me as well.. and we have that Verizon package so Band-with(sp?)should NOT be a problem...

Through it all, I knew Prince was LAUGHING HIS BUTT OFF so I was smileing, 'cause he did what he wanted to do... ROUGH US UP !

smile

So we complain about something obviously crap. Then prince calls us "Internet haters" and sells us a song, giving out about us. ?
How post-modern!

There will be an angry purple little fellow on stage tonight.!

But freedom of speech wins through, overwhelming negative reviews should tell u something prince. But it's not too late, do something about it. Fix it.

We still love u.

But thank god for the ability to not take everything at face value, and not always accept what you are given. This bad review will make things better IMHO.

I have not went into the site since it has opened yesterday, one reason being that with any new website there is always going to be gliches that still need to be worked out, knowing this I decided to wait. Not in a hurry, I have patience. Might check the site out next week... cool

It caused me not 2 b able 2 get tickets, but only 4 the Nokia theater, which is the last one I was hoping 2 get.

I've tried twice now to download the CD's...and both times I get corrupted files. The system is..yeah....Corrupted Aiight!

Put ur boys (and girls) 2 work Prince...
I for one, love U dearly and will always B there, behind U, to support ur work.
And I'm not a hater , I like 2 treat others equally...I'm just a good critic.

i don't mind the puzzles but it probably wasn't a good idea to make signing up contingent upon solving a riddle. you want to shovel people into the site, not send them away shaking their heads.

I use Opera as a web browser and apart from the 1st minutes of EVERYONE rushing to be on there at once everything including credit card acceptance and videos (although still have to wait a while for them to fully upload before being able to view non-stop) is working. (I'm in the UK, and no problems)...

1 request though - Coachella DVD... NOW!!! lol
