okay I must admit that when we went to Prince's house in January Anthony Malzone had mentioned that he had met Sonny Thompson and I think they had mentioned that their were some jam sessions earlier in the month. When I heard that prince would be playing with three groups I was almost sure John Blackwell and Rhonda Smith would be involved. Same goes for Sonny and Michael Bland and seeing as Reneto was still in the mix sometimes filling in I felt he would be playing on the 28th project as well

Damn it, wish I could get over there for these shows, what a cool idea! To those going, have a great time!

Michael Bland! I love Blackwell too, but I've seen him with Prince a few times, never got to see Michael though.

It's a great way to pay homage to those who have surrounded him & helped him for the new albums.

But if he could keep Michael B & Sonny T for his next tour, that would be even better!

I'm pretty sure he will play with a different band each night on Leno as well.

This makes me want to go to L.A. real bad now! I'd piss my pants to see Michal B and Sonny T. I never saw them live and to see them with P would be a dream come true, Princewise.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Talk about a blast from Prince's past...I didn't even know Elisa Fiorillo was still singing, that's kinda cool

i've only seen michael bland at a tribute show in MPLS...well, "only", heh...he was playing with eric leeds, dr. fink, dez dickerson and a bunch of other purple all-stars...but he tore it up! meanwhile, i'd love to see mr. blackwell playing with prince again. good stuff.

Is there a name missing that one would expect, especially considering Prince is releasing her album with his two albums? Or is it just assumed?

Not that I'm hoping for her to be there, just a little odd...
