Your Suggestion to Prince

Am I badass in my field of musical art, sure. P richer, sure.

Times have changed and I don't write pop/funk/rock, but I have good advice.



Prince: Write a serious song for voice, guitar and drums only (drum machine or if real, hire a drummer and let the drummer give input). Release the single. Then I'll advise next. Oh and, make it a fast song, electric guitar, and nothing bout romance.

Prince, keep being yourself, do wat u wanna do to make u happy. Make the kind of music u want to make. Don't let all the "advices" given from the wide variety of fans get to your head too much cause u'll get crazy tryna please everyone. Doesn't make sense tryna please X, Y, and Z and we all have our fav genres that we'd love to hear from u all the time, yet u'd rather do A, B, and C genres and in the end you're not fully satisfied and happy and didn't fully enjoy wat u did, cause it ain't wat u wanted to do to begin with!

(for those of you who have luckily never had these knock at your door, they are the people who believe in the world becoming a Utopia to the extreme. You should see the flyers they give you...their vision of the world is imaged by something resembling the world of the Teletubbies)

Being a JW is a sane choice compared to this...

Prince, If U believe that Romance is at the core of Spiritual love...realize that to find that burried treasure U have to focus on devotion, sex between two people that love eachother will come naturally.

Romantic love will always have love.
Love will not always have romance...even if the love always is.
Devotion is a sacrificial element that makes love whole.

Singing songs about sex in the shower is definitely 4-play for U and Bria...but it is not discrete...Congratulations to U, and Best Wishes to her.

My advice. Bring some fans on board to craft future business development. Instead of us finging a mystery site where you can kind of poke around and hear 2 tracks, he could have pulled a Radiohead and when the mystery site was found by the fans there would already be an album ready to download and pay for. Everyone would have bought it the first day.

I think some of you supposed "fans" expect too much from him. Give him a break. He is a musician and will create his music the way he wants to. That is what got you to him in the first place. If you are in for the ride, good, if not take a hike.

Threatening to sue your fans for celebrating your work is pretty low. He's consistently done it. Most music stars would kill for that kind of loyalty. Prince has built a schizophrenic track record on simultaneously cultivating fan loyalty and punishing his most loyal fan base.

Granted, it's all relative. He hasn't withheld mortgages or lines of credit or, to my knowledge, fired scores of people. Nor are his economic policies to be faulted for the recession.

But, he can be quite the jerk to his supporters.
