Jedi Nation : End of The Nation - (His Last Show Tonight Nov. 12/08, has now ended)

Dear Jedi Nation,

3 years ago, I clicked on the "talk" button and we all went on a ride of music, news, interviews and funk.

I changed show formats, I changed nights and I even got the pink slip once, but no matter what, the members of the Nation stayed by my side.

I have been blessed to break new music, interview countless amazing artists and have more fun than a DJ should be able to have on the air.

We at Emancipation Radio layed a foundation for what internet radio should be and will be in the future, I take great pride in knowing that I was part of this amazing station. We are truly "pioneers" in this industry.

I have come to a time of my life that I know it's time for me to step away from the station and move on to the next adventure of my life.

The work it takes to put a quality show (I know some would challenge that statement ) out every week is a time consuming task.

It's not the 2-3 hours of a show that takes my time as much as it is the rounding up and conducting interviews, promoting the show and station and a ton of other things that makes this a big job.

The truth is, I'm not a rock-star dj, I'm a husband, dad and a person that just needs to slow down and focus on other things.

I PROMISE, there will be no comeback, I wouldn't do that to Star Maiden or Emancipation Radio, this decision has been 2-3 months in the making and it is certain and FINAL (I know... you can laugh now) but it's true. I have two shows left (Nov. 5th and Nov 12th). I hope you will join me and let's celebrate 3 amazing years of Jedi Nation.

Emancipation Radio will do many amazing things over the next few years and I am looking forward to seeing the station grow and dominate internet radio for years to come, but the end of the nation is near.

Yep, it is a shame that your hanging it up.
But life has to take the lead!

Some of my favorite internet memories were of listening to your show,
talking with you and discussing the radio station.
Even though my personal useage of the internet comes and goes.
The 'the holy river radio' and now 'Emancipation radio' is one of the best parts of it!
It will always in be in my memory, I'm gonna have to tune in, one last time!

The DJ will always be in U, and when the kids are older...there's no telling what kind of direction they will go in...DJ's will never die...They have one of those professions the world will always need to mediate between the air and the ground.

I always wanted to go on the road as a light technician...I became a mother...and that escorted me down a road that I would never go back and replace with my dreams. Parents make sacrifices that may seem rough, but the time passes so quickly...looking back U will never regret being there for your kids...The records have an eternal shelf life...

Have fun on your adventure.
