Is prince still only sleeping 2hrs per night?

I remember reading years ago that prince only sleeps 2hrs a night because he is such a workaholic and I have often thought he looks really well off 2hrs sleep. Though when he played the brit awards a couple of years ago and the lights went orange for a couple of seconds towards the end of his set you could really see the big bags under his eyes.

Not to worry. That was 2006. As a concession to age, he now averages almost 2.5 hours of sleep per night.

And to avert any future eyebag tragedies, he has all orange lights removed from any venue at which he appears.

Bless his heart..I hope Prince gets napz here and there. I think lights can be just as damaging to the skin as the sun. I live in low lighting. I got headaches in school from them. I was fortunate to attend one college that kept them dim.

if i lived the exciting life that he does i wouldnt need sleep either. Can you imagine how exciting his life must be, no wonder he dosn't sleep.

I heard back in the D&P period when he was recording the album or filming the videos, he recorded/shot them during the early am hours because that was when he was the most awake.

And some people can just get by on that amount of sleep. My dad travels to the Far East a lot for his job (which happens to have several international customers) and because of the time change, he only sleeps so many hours a night and gets by just fine.
However, there are times when he gets back from a long trip that he's drowsy for the first couple of days he's home and it takes him a little extra time to get back to his normal routine.

I'm going to venture a guess that every once in a while, Prince hits a stooper from lack of sleep, but its probably at times where he's not so much in the limelight. In the end, though, I'm willing to beat that when he gets more sleep than he's used to simply because he has to rest, that's when inspiration hits and he starts the cycle all over again

I always heard it was 4hrs a night - not sure where 2hrs was pulled from. Some people can survive on this amount of sleep. Some people can survive on doing short naps every few hours instead of a long sleep (scenes in films such as SOTT and GB point to him doing this).

However, these stories probably just add to the mystique not clear if theres much truth to them, although I remember in a biog I read that he used to sleep hardly at all during certain event but then sleep for days afterwards.

I also read or saw in an interview somewhere that when he's inspired he records the song right away, he doesnt stop and restart the next day, he carries on until its finished. This would figure and would cause him to sleep at different times.

He slept longer than that last night.

He doesn't need a lot of beauty rest,cuz he'z so beautiful already.
