A demo album - wouldn't that be exciting?

If Prince put out a demo album, the tracklist been made just by, say 15 snippets of 1:20 mins tops, just to launch his next release (which could be composed by just 10 songs out of those demos), wouldn't that be a cool idea?

That is honestly one of the worst ideas a Prince fan has ever come up with.

The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

You are onto something there Sophia...That is an excellent idea.
What a great way to advertise via the internet.

Like I've said before if recording safety devices aren't built into the inability to burn a cd, the stealing will continue.

I don't know how it can be done, but I believe it can be...even if the cd's have to be reduced in size to eliminate the pre-exitsting copiers.

Then...The full album can be purchased from a record store.

I think it could be the key to saving the music industry. Let's Pray it is. Amen. cool

Here we are in this big ole' empty room, starin' eachother down.
U want me just as much as I want U, let's stop foolin' around.~Prince

No, that would be kind of annoying. I really like listening to albums for the first time having no clue what to expect from each track.

One Night Alone was billed as a demo album. It was shit.

In your opinion dude.

'music combining elements of jazz, blues, and soul and characterized by syncopated rhythm and a heavy, repetitive bass line' = Funk!

I'd have to hear one to know. Sometimes it take a couple times listening to a song to really appreciate it. I wonder if that would make a difference.

I'm all for it.
The demo album could be a limited edition cd, or a series of samples just like on the NPGmc back in the day.

Actually, ONA hasn't received really bad reviews overall. I know I love it.

I like the idea of full-length demos. And I wish Prince was required to record in his old basement - just like '1999'.
