Who has seen the most shows live?

I would like to know the answer to this. I have seen 4 (+ a simulcast of the LA show of the Musicology tour, but I do not count that). I imagine that there are some people who can really put that to shame. Name the shows you have seen if possible.

i know i'm nowhere near the people who have seen the most shows live, but the last time i counted, i think i was up to 15, and that's including aftershows and tv appearances i've attended. for me, that's a lot of shows to devote to one act.

I've only seen 6 live shows...plus Musicology at the theatre opening night.

I just couldn't go...and I wanted 2...believe me.

I would'nt even be able to compete in this one as I have never been to a concert.

i have only been to 2 back in the early 90's as i live far away in Ireland, was away last year and missed the london21 nights, but i live in hope for another chance very soon

9 times... starting with the Triple Threat Tour in early '83, Purple Rain Tour" 85, Hit and Run , Boston '86, twice with the Lovesexy tour,'88, the Roxy in Boston early '97, later that summer back in Boston with the Jam of the Year tour,and last but not least Musicolgy twice , once in Hartford and opening nite in Boston. I know some fans who went to 21 concerts at the 02 AND ALL the after shows, that would be approx 42 show's plus they went to some other concerts over th years, lucky sods. I went to about 7 concerts at the 02 and 7 aftershows, it was'nt enough though.

Only ever in London so far, once at Hammersmith for One Night Alone, 8 main O2 shows and 5 aftershows where he showed up and played.

Dublin this year is the only ever time I've properly travelled anywhere to see anyone, and that blew up in our faces

1 x nude tour in london, 2 x gold tour in london, cafe de paris aftershow, ona tour and aftershow in dublin, prince celbration 2001 at paisley park - i think 9 shows in all, including the arena show, and 21 shows from the 21 nites in london. 6 main shows, 15 aftershows, at which prince played 12, npg only x 2, dj only x 1.

but i know of others who went to plenty more than this.

50-something for me now

That does, of course, include multiple nights of the same tour (9 O2 concerts plus 4 aftershows last year and almost every night of his record-breaking run (at the time) at Earls Court back in the 90s)

I guess I'm just lucky enough to live in a country where he obviously loves playing and that where nowhere is more than a day's drive to get to

Oh Yes!, the one nite alone tour!. Hubby and I bought tickets from a travel company and we didn't expect really good seats. He played at the Manchester Apollo which is a lovely smallish place and when we got there we were in row HH. The row before was in front of the sound guys and we asked the young chap showing people to their seats to help us. He said 'follow me' and off we went down to the front. We were 8 rows back from the stage and by god, what a show it was!.

Counting concerts and aftershows and Glam Slam parties and Paisley Park shin-digs--and one VERY special impromptu performance here in Detroit at the old Intermezzo club/restaurant with Prince on drums, Stevie Wonder, Tony Rich and Larry Graham--I'd say I've seen him about 40 times.
