What is the answer to the Question of U?

Why are you a big fan of Prince? Whay? Tell us please. eek cool

I wish I could explain it. I really got into him when I was 12 back in 1992. I had a thing about getting all of the albums of a group that I liked. While a group like Pearl Jam, for example, had one or two cds at the time, Prince had over a dozen, so I tried to get them all. After that, Prince just became even more to me than what the Grateful Dead is to many Deadheads (the Dead happens to be my second favorite group)

He is Prince. He makes no apologies for being Prince. He does his own thing, and F anyone who says it's wrong. He leads his life the way I wish I had the balls to lead mine.

Many many reasons. He's a real conglamoration of many great qualities.

Talent-This is too obvious to really have to detail.
Balls-the balls to be the maverick at all stages inspite of what it might do to his career and legacy.
Work Ethic-No one but no one outworks the man, he just keeps going and going, I don't know how he does it because NONE of it can be easy. Maybe it's as he says, he's a slave to the rhythm.
Personality-his personality is every bit as rich as his music, he can be narcissistic, generous,selfish, sensitive,cruel,childlike,dictatorial,feminine,masculine,darkly serious,hilarious and on and on. His character is a work of art and a thing to behold in itself.
Songs-some of the best songs ever in the history of pop music, there have been times when i've listened to Prince and thought, "it just doesn't get any better than this" I'm a fan of anyone who can get that reaction out of me.
Inspiration-he shaped the man i've become in many ways, musician being one, also, letting me know it's ok to be a wierdo, a wacko a sicko and even to revel in it. His individuality surpassed all bounds of race and sexuality as it does in real life, I think that may have been one of his major contributions to culture too.
