Prince and George Michael

What are the similarities, if any, between the two? BTW, I've always liked George Michael's songs.

I'm sorry but I don't see any. Prince is what he is because he is a musical master on all instruments and genres/styles of music + his lyrics reaches a much deeper level that George Michael's, but of course that just my opinion/experience. I just don't see the similarities between him and George Michael.

Btw, I don't dislike George Michael, I just don't listen to him very often...

they are both male

they both write songs, play multi instruments, sing, produce, and have minor acting roles

george micheal had two disputes with record companies in the past, notably his renewed sony contract

and both have released material under psedenoums, and appeared on a number of related artists material, some uncredited

and both have said they won't record/tour anymore

here is a pic of george i took last nite btw

I saw George in Paris 2 years ago, he was great. I think they are both very talented, they write great music, and have great voices.

you never know what he will do tonite as he might change the set list. the idea was to play some of the songs that he played during the american tour that he didn't play during the start of the european tour

i'm hoping he will change things up a bit and do some different songs, it should be a great nite with this being his last uk show

The only similarity I can see is that GM used the "Written, Produced, Arranged, and Performed..." Moniker like Prince did on Faith.

They both have had issues with thier record company and rebeled in their own ways.

All of the songs are special. Praying for time adds a special something to the show, but so does a different corner. You will still ahve a fantastic time no matter what.

I started a thread a little while back saying wouldn't it be cool if GM got up at a Prince aftershow, and they did a little thing together, just a couple of songs maybe... everyone was like 'NO, NO!' lol I still think it would be fun, I think some of GM's ballads are amazing... Different Corner, Father Figure, Jesus to a Child razz Wish I was going to see him in concert, have fun!

Wake up children, dance the dance electric, there isn't much time... Who screamed? Was it you?

When it comes down to Rock-n-Roll Heaven...Prince and George both have "Faith," They are in the "Helluva Band." cool

They both write beautifully executed songs, even though I feel George's songs are more personal

He didn't sing it last night either.

Nice additions of Precious Box and Fantasy though.
