I recall those puppet things being sold for a brief time in Minneapolis. They were made incredibly cheaply (though sold especially pricey) if I remember right. Any of the stans here own one? I'm sure they'd go for a pretty penny nowadays.

You could also buy the same white frilly blouse famously worn by P (but later degraded by Seinfeld - how dare he!) from the boutique that Marie France briefly operated here. I think they went for about $60 a pop. It was a pretty surreal feeling to be wearing one of those (in private, of course), knowing that it came from the same hands that designed it for Prince.

BTW, this thread was inspired by a HILARIOUS earlier, old prince.org thread, whose url escapes me at the moment. At one point I had written to a moderator about the original thread, expressing my love for it and wanting to resurrect it or something, but in my experience the moderators here have a thing about answering personal messages (they don't do it). But perhaps it would behoove one of them to do some research and point us to the original thread I speak of, because it was hi-freakin-larious.

Actually no, this was the one I found. My initial reaction of hilarity was that I thought the very first picture was Shirley Hemphill until I was about 3 posts down. That aside, many of the pictures (creative interpretations, if you will) that are lucky enough to still be hanging around 5 years later are ingenious!!

I wasn't being critical toots, just relaying my experience. Sorry. I know you were only trying to help geesh, whoever he/she is.

I'm sure there's good reason for no Grafitti "tribute." My fondest memory of it is Ingrid's bad lipsync in "Love Machine." Cute as a button though.
