Being Australian, I can tell you that John Safran is a massive Prince fan but he doesn't pull any punches. You can probably tell he is a fan as he mentions the cross

He is a satirist more than a comedian. He has had TV and radio shows where he talks about religion amongst other things but he is a self-loathing Jew who can poke fun at his and other religions. The TV show that came from was one about Pop music and Religion.

He is currently doing a radio show on Sunday nights with a real Catholic priest-hilarious. In the past he even fronted a parody band called Raspberry Cordial.

He came to prominence on what in retrospect could be called the 1st reality TV shows in the late 80's called Race around the world-a bit like Amazing Race but each contestant was on their own and given a camera and had to film each leg and come up with a current affairs story from each location. They were then judged on the quality of their story.

You have to see the film he sent back where he went to Jerusalem and ran naked through a marketplace holding a camera.
