I have noticed that Pince songs often come in pairs. Sometimes they sound very similar like

Under the cherry moon & Question of You

or they have a similar theme

1999 & lets go crazy

or i respond to them in a similar way

kiss & Sexy MF

notice raspberry beret & when doves cry hmmm both said to express his lost virginity similarities seem to be that in pr he approaches Apollonia in a mall standing outside the stores she goes for a ride on the back of his bike and they end up in the barn as seen in the normal progression and the flash back during the wdc scenes in raspberry beret he meets the girl in a store takes the girl for a ride on the back of his bike and ends up in the barn in both he mentions the animals being curious pretty similar bluegrass version of events and the sexy version i'm sure that most of us find and experience what you are speaking of this one is one of my favorites

Yes many of Prince songs bring about the two extremes...emotionally...and that is why Prince sings to stay in between...Not too good and Not too bad...Just somewhere in the middle of happy and sad.

Prince is exceptionally colorful...about a gray mood. cool

"When you Kiss me...feels like I'm committin' a crime."
"Cool as the other Cool as the other Cool as the other side." Prince
