Is Prince really under 5 ft tall when barefoot????

I'm 5'7". He stood right next to me at 3121 Jazz Club. I was wearing 2" heels. He came about eye height on me, that would put him about 5'6" in his shoes. Now, all we need to know is the height of his heel and we can solve this puzzler...or we can take the word of Wikipedia and call him 5'2". I don't believe he is any smaller than that.

I've always heard that Prince is about 5'2" without the heels. I've seen him numerous times and he really does not look under 5 ft. he's just a short guy, not a MIDGET!

I always wanted to know out of curiosity...If Prince was 5'2" exactly, or give or take less than an inch. I personally believe Prince is a little taller...just for who really cares...I'm not big enough for Prince to sit on my lap.

You're right jcurley. I always thought his height made him more determined to try harder, he's had to show up a lot of bigger guys. but the person that started this thread acted like he was some kind of freak for being short. That's a terrible prejudice against short people.

LOL. We are a sad bunch of people, discussing this....or even caring

BUT, according to someone that was interviewed for the PR DVD's extra features, he wears four-inch heels. So that would make him 5'2'' without them.

can't believe i'm participating in this thread, but as someone who stood directly behind him, so close that I had to step back when he was playing his guitar at one of the Vegas aftershows, to avoid contact (out of respect), I would say he's about 5'2 to be exact. He's short, but he's not shockingly short as some people make him out to be.
