Does anyone else think we are all getting a litle worked up

Im just wondering....is it me or does anyone else think we are all getting a little too worked up over the things Prince does anymore?
Yes I know he seemingly takes things to far and clearly he knows how to push peoples buttons...but from all the things I have seen and heard over the years none of the web sherriff incidents and so on should come as a real surprise..
Im not saying we dont have a right to be mad, of course we do! But I don't know, it just appears that we take things to personally. I mean how well does this man know any of us? Not at all, and even if we "think" we know him, we really don't.
And even though I didn't appreciate the Web Sherriff garbage, I refuse to carry it around like a brick (for want of a better term) Its a waste of time being mad at him for the rest of my life...Im pretty sure we all have other fish to fry

The only time I get bugged beyond belief about it is when I want to show someone his work but I can't just find it on youtube in an instant, I have to explain "Uh...Prince really doesn't like youtube so he deleted all his vids from there" then I get this blank stare in return.

best thread I have seen here for some time, although to be fair, I have not been here often lately, mainly, coz I dont have the time, but when I do have time, I certainly dont want to waste it, actually, to be honest, I probably have more time now than ever, but that , alas, is beside the point.

It would be a great little network, if we could all stop moaning about what P does and at the same time continuously annouce that we are the no.1 fans, ah well, he is a star, he should simply accept it.....blah blah blah

as far as i can see, most of us here should be very F..... thankful, that Prince has been around the last 30 yrs.

I am sure orgers like Blackguitaristz, Babynoz, Gio, L40riginal, Mentalist and a few others I foolhardy forgot to mention ( Jeffiner, almost forgot you, but you belong to the crew), understand exactly the Prince fan thing, anyway, before i write a sentence, too long for my own ears, lets remember the build up to 21 Nights and what for me is the anthem of that time

Who's worked up, I never was. I've been a Prince fan since the early 80's and have always known that Prince had the right to do whatever he wants with his own music. The only ones getting worked up are the people that haven't stuck it out over the years with him, he is ever changing.

I'm not mad either...I remember going to someone's house at one time and seeing close to a hundred bootlegs's...and that upset me, because I felt left out in a way...Other than that, I don't have the conviction to get bent out of shape, for a musician that is the artist making the decision. I stand by Prince's side with all of his endeavors's regardless of the talk that roams around down the line.

And to mention...This guy played one version of a Prince song that I had never heard...and then I was on my way...I never brought any Prince music with me, or from that meeting.

The websheriff thing never really bothered me I got through Tony M., the name change, the Warner feud, the height of the JW segregationist period, and a string of not so great albums. I can’t say that I haven’t been sincerely disappointed at times. But like PurplePolitician said, I usually end up throwing on some much beloved boots. and remembering that “this too shall pass;” it always does. Now please make [insert complaint] pass soon

Im not happy about all the suing going on lately and Im not afraid to voice that in a specified thread...but I definitely see people taking it too seriously when they bring it up in other threads having nothing to do with his antics.

I pretty much go with the flow...don't tend to get too worked up ever
over what Prince does or doesn't do....what's the point?

And I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over it
