Has prince always been a vegan? Has prince always been a vegan and dont get me wrong he looks great on it its the most alkalyzing diet, but was there ever a time you would have caught prince chomping on a steak??? LET A WOMAN BE A WOMAN AND A MAN BE A MAN | |

I remember reading an interview Prince did around '97, and he said that he had been a vegetarian for 10 years then. So my guess is he's been since '87, and a Vegan since the early 90's. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!! |

i think prince is a lapsed/former vegan, though i think for matters of publicity he doesn't correct public mentions of his vegan status. the vibe i've always gotten from him, from interviews and whatnot, is that he's always had a fairly light diet, with maybe a little bit of a junk food jones (hey, he's from the midwest, it's allowed ). There were always stories about him munching away on doritos and Kraft mac'n'cheese in the studio, and when he was very public about becoming a vegan, he made it sound like it wasn't such a huge alteration from his normal diet - just a little healthier and more conscious.
there have been mentions in the past few years of him being spotted dining on chicken in restaurants or having a salad with egg in it, and he's served sushi at his 3121 parties. i think his days of being a "hardcore vegan" are past, but i don't think he's scheduling any hunting weekends with ted nugent anytime soon either. |

I seriously doubt he's still a vegan. I was really surprised the 3121 cuisine in Vegas had meat on it, thought it was very hypocritical after Animal Kingdom and the Rave Un2 cover speil. Paul McCartney threatened to sue a local steakhouse when they were using The Beatles image on their signage. | |

Vegans, aswell as vegetarians, dont eat meat, poultry or fish but vegans dont eat dairy products like milk or eggs. | |
