3121 = End of the world

Hi, everyone!

What I'm gonna say usually takes a lot of time, so I'm going to be quick.

Prince always liked to play with numbers and symbols, most of his work and songs are about prophecies (1999), end of the world (Sign O' the times), resurrection of humanity in a new era (7).

Many of you know abput the Maya prophecy concerning the year 2012. According to that prophecy, specifically December 21th, our Golden Age is going to stop, the whole world will enter in a new phase of existence, which means a New Beginning, the so called Age of Aquarius.

How's that going to happen?

The Earth began slowing down with its rotation in the 60s, and it's gonna stop completely on Friday 21th, December 2012. That could be our Last December.

For 3 days the Earth will not move. On the fourth day, it will start again but on the opposite direction. In the meantime, earthquakes and flood with destroy almost everything (Prince sang '3121' in 2006, during the BET Awards, and in the end of the song said these lines: "It's going down, people, like the system of things").

31 could mean the last December (December has 31 days).

21 is just the day the world will change, which is Friday.

Reverse 21 and you have 12; the year of the End of the Golden Age.

With the Earth stopping and turning the other way, the magnetic poles will invert and our organism will awaken to a new conscience, in a scientific way I'm not able to explain.

If the Earth's rotation is truly slowing down and is destined to actually halt just 4 years from now, wouldn't our days be getting noticably longer? I don't seem to be gaining any more time in my night or day experience; are any of you?

Not to mention the numerology here is totally random and absurd. I think it would be wise to reveal that sometimes Prince creates little mysteries that don't have a basis in any reality and are more about brilliant marketing than anything else.

Fact of the matter is Prince picked some numbers at random to rhyme with the original lyrics, which were actually born out of a fairly embarrassing situation.

During a break in recording, Prince was about to tear into a honeybun. He'd gotten into them recently and kept a decent inventory of 'em. The seamstress in his wardrobe department had been using elastic in the waist of his pants for a few months, now. The jones hit him on the regular, and this was the last one in his kitchen.

At any rate, Prince was all set to eat said honeybun, when it slipped from his fingers and fell onto the floor.

Looking around to make sure no one was present to see him get ready to violate the ol' five-second rule, P slowly stooped down to daintily retrieve the pastry from the floor. His maid, Esmeralda entered the kitchen, just as he polished off the last morsel of the dessert.

But, so consumed was he with consuming the sweet, Prince had neglected to wipe the glaze that had been left on the floor.

Esmeralda, quick study that she is, pieced together what had happened and shot her employer a knowing smirk.

Flashing her a look like, "Don't you start with me, Esmeralda, you're not even supposed to be making eye contact with me," he instead sang the chorus that became 3121:

"Don't be making fun, 'twas only one honeybun..."

I am curious as to why the Mayan's believe this about the world. Philosophy, gave birth to many new idea's as life was being studied, recorded, and remembered.
I know that we are products of the information that we are fed. And if we believe in the Bible as absolute truth, than the end of the world as we know it, should certainly mean, eliminating the world of it's wrong behavior.
We have as a species, the knowlege to care for the world, and the people of the world, as we share planet.
The Bible says that Heaven and Earth shall never pass away. This is what I have chosen to believe. In the scope of an eternal distance, many possibilities, can exist.
The bright side, is that we will, through, Love, technology, science, and responsibility...utilize what we have, to cure all disease from the physical bodies of it's inhabitants, and cure the heart's and mind's, of all people... Understanding that We all have a right to belong, united, as a whole body of GOD.
On a lighter note:
Maybe Carbon dating, is a lie.
Maybe the Mayan's ran out of Calendar paper or sun dial's.
Maybe, we should be living more comfortably within the Earth, instead of apon it.
Maybe wars have been fought over SALT ownership, and not Gold and Silver.
Maybe photography has documented every move we make.
Maybe Fort Knox is all of the money from people that died, that chose to leave their belongings to charity.
Maybe Elvis has some concrete answers.
Maybe the world will get tired of corporations playing Mickey Mouse games.
Maybe Walt Disney will make everyone happy when He get's out of the Nitrogen suite.
And lastly, Maybe, "Rush," and "Prince," got together and decided to play blackjack in December, on a Friday with one too many bellydancer's and shot'z of Washington Whiskey?
Maybe everyone should start loving eachother now. Stop littering. And certainly, stop slutting around, and give a shit about marriage and family.
