Anyone have anything named after Prince or P related? I so wanted to name my daughter Apollonia but My whole family was dead set against it, even my mom and aunt who are huge Prince fans. Every time it came up my mother said "everyone will call her Apple Bologna and make fun of her....you don't want to do that" blah blah blah! So I wanted to name her Apollonia so bad that it was either that or Tondalaya and nobody cared for that. I couldn't even pick a name after she was born. I was so stuck that the last day in the hospital the nurses told me if I didn't name her that they would because they needed something on the birth certificate. So my mom had to name her what she wanted and I hate it! I will take that to the grave with me! It makes me sick to think about it, I sooooo wish I would have named her Apollonia! But, I decided I will try to get pregnant again in a few months and I'm sure I will have another girl and I WILL name her either Apollonia or LaPrincia. Or if it's a boy Princeton. I'll be damned if someone tries to go over my head this time. So take it from me NEVER LET ANYONE NAME YOUR CHILDREN BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I have a cat named Prince. But he was named that before I adopted him from the shelter. Think they named him Prince because he has a real sweet personality. Do you have anything Prince-name related? I like the names Vanity and Apollonia for twins, I think it's cute and different! So what did your mom name your daughter? You should've named her if you wanted... just call her Apples as a nickname.  | |

Apollonia is great for a middle name. If you want a Prince name, what about "Nadeara." Org me if you want the details. Nadeara Apollonia Or Susan Apollonia (Susan for Susan Moonsie of Vanity/Apollonia 6--Susan WAS Prince's girlfriend when they were in high school) I begged my best friend to name her daughter Princess after Prince and my nickname in high school, and she said "Heeeeellll NO!" But, Princess is one of her middle names. I'm happy the name was included on the birth certificate! Why don't you name your daughter Princess? Princeton is a cool male name. The Apollonia from the Godfather movie is probably more well known than the Apollonia from Purple Rain..or is she, I have no idea. Anyway, you should have chosen your babys name yourself. But I thought Apollonia is her real name: Patricia Apollonia Kotero. I wanted something very unique and different, the more weirder the better! But I would hate for my daughter to have the nickname "Apple Bologna"....kids can be so mean. And it would have taken a looooong time to teach her how to write her name.....maybe moms had a good point I wanna b ur fantasy and maybe u could be mine! | |

Apollonia is not her real name. Prince named her that. Just like he named Vanity, Diamond, Pearl, Carmen Electra, etc. - and came up with approximately a gazillion different names for himself.
