Love is nothing to be ashamed of...Although I am so happy that the world has been touched by Prince...If I had it my way, I'd have kidnapped him in 1983...before "Purple Rain." and locked him in a cage, and fed him my love everyday....And no-one else would be able to have any discussions on how sexy or gay or bald he iz...Then Prince would really understand, slavery. Honestly I never write anything like that, but who cares the man has made millions upon millions off of us so who cares. And there has been times where u can see he only cares about doin his own thing regardless of what fans it may hurt. So if we have some little side comments we want to make go ahead we have earned the right after years of putting money and energy into being Prince fans, and dealing with his crazy little quirks!! | |

 I still love the music, videos and the man, but I think with age my fandom has changed But still it amazes me when I see crazy threads on here Wouldn't some of us be ashamed if Prince actually read some of this shit one day?ya know, in terms of what prince is doing in the here and now, i keep up with it more because it's tradition and not so much because i'm continually satisfied and challenged by every new thing he does. and while i might find a way to appreciate most of what he does these days on its own terms, his work doesn't transport me like it did the first time i cracked the cellophane on ATWIAD or SOTT. of course, he's a different person now, and so am i. and really, you know, there's still a bit of magic and goosepimple in those old albums if i'm in the right mood and it's been long enough since the last time i've heard one of em all the way through. i can still listen to parade sometimes and think 'my GOD, what made him come up with some of this stuff?!' if he does read this, i just hope he can appreciate the brilliance of his own randomness as it used to exist in his work. i miss the "avant purple" as he once called it, and i'm glad a lot of it was recorded for posterity. |

I'm very curious...do you function quite normally in "real life" and just save up ALL of your crazy for the org?  I don't mean to pick on just Tame - that question goes to more than a few of you on here!  | |
