Does prince do any charity work?? Does anyone know if prince does any charity work? because most musicians who get as big and as privileged as prince like to give back to the community. Whether its do concerts for charity or rasing funds in what ever way they can or even having there own charitys. People like Elton John Paul mcartney Sting and many many more are well known for their efforts, but maybe its just the way prince is reported about in the British press but I cant remember reading anything about him to do with charity. Apart from the time when he didnt sing on the we are the world single but sent a song instead. There must be more than that surely???? LET A WOMAN BE A WOMAN AND A MAN BE A MAN

There have been several posts, that talked about Prince helping Minneapolis, as well as contributing wherever He can. Thanks Prince. That's very kind. When you're heart has been through every angle, and down every weary road,

He started his own charity Love4Oneanother around the tiem of Emancipation (1997?). He held food drives at his gigs for underprivileged urban families, particularly single mothers. At the 2000 Celly they had leaflets advertising all kinds of self-help classes as well as progressive stuff like how to start an urban roof garden to grow veggies.

Talking of disadvantaged kids. I think it would great if prince would open the Prince acadamy of music in mineapolis for disadvantaged kids. Prince could be the headmaster and the timetable could be funk in the morning rock in the afternoon and soul in the evening. Also if you played too many wrong notes you would have to sit detention with prince. I would definitely enroll. LET A WOMAN BE A WOMAN AND A MAN BE A MAN

I've got a copy of all of his annual tax returns in my Prince scrapbook somewhere. As soon as I dig 'em up, I'll list all the charitable contributions for each year. Talkin' Black but livin' all the Negro I can.

There is a town called "Princeville" that was having deep troubles a couple years back. Prince was generous enough to help this southern town out by making a donation of $37,000. Also, don't forget about the children that he is helping in Vietnam. I believe that he supported the building of a school. Prince believes in giving, but he is so cool about it. He doesn't blow it up like some others celebrities.....and that is the way you're suppose to do it. No one really needs to know about your contributions, Prince doesn't try to get attention for his giving. Oh yeah, don't forget the concert he performed for Chick Huntsberry (his bodyguard). I know that it helped his wife, Linda. "A united state of mind will never be divided
The real definition of unity is 1 People can slam their door, disagree and fight it But how U gonna love the Father but not love the Son? United States of Division"

I remember him doing a benefit after concert show in San Francisco, but I don't remember what it was for. It was one of those small venue things. It was in the paper the day before, but the tickets went on sale the night of the show. I was at the concert when the tickets for the after show went on sale. By the time I got to the after show the tickets were long gone. I was so sad walking back to my car. I walk about 3 blocks up the street by a vacant lot and quess who had a tour bus parked and wating for thr show to start? I had to control myself to keep from banging on that door!

During the Musicology era, Prince performed at Tigerjam, which is a charity concert that Tiger Woods puts on every year. Here's a picture of Prince and Tiger together.
