I was listening to this yesterday, I love and hate it - depends how I feel on the day.

the sound CrAsheS its way through the song, its like mad jazz new age or something I dont know how to describe it, but theres so much going on! and yet its very catchy and upbeat. Its like prince wanted to get every instrument sound he could marbled into one quick fleeting tune - which of course is what he did!

Whenever I hear this I think what wendy and lisa made of it back then, its so off the wall - i wonder if they had input into this, but their voices make the song.


I love the lyrics they are very clever, its a snippet of morning after rapture, so its fitting the way its rattled off, so excitedly - brilliant!

A great track from a great album. The first time I listened to it I laughed out lout at the "clarinet" line, it seems so un-Prince like! I still love it though, the scrambled eggs line always makes me think of Paul McCartney as well!

I love that entire album - and this song is no exception.

yup I love that song. One of my favorites of his

when i first bought and listened to that album, i didn't like that song 2 much. it was one of those songs that grew and grew on me like a fungus. i enjoy that song very much now with that daring arrangement and all. the song had the same abrupt ending as partyup did.

My brother loves this song to death. But me I'd say it's alright. My brother always gets on me for saying it's "alright" cuz he loves it so much..
