If a final moment was as spontaneous as this thread...I would grab the cd closest to my stereo...If I knew I was gonna die soon, I wouldn't waste my last few minutes walking from one room to the next.
"Planet Earth" is next to my stereo...so I would play that, hoping to sqeeze in more than one song.

If I was really lucky, I would live through "Guitar," and Die somewhere in the middle of "Somehwere Here On Earth." cool

Lyrically 1999 and Purple Rain are very suitable.

Both deal with a 'purple sky'. According to the bible the sky will turn purple in the end days. According to science the sky turns purple after a nuclear attack...

But my personal favourite is, yep, Crystal Ball: The lyrics seems to deal with making love / getting very intimate, while your and your lover are knowing that the end of the world is there.
The creepy, eerie, chaotic music work perfectly with those lyrics.
