Lyrically 1999 and Purple Rain are very suitable.
Both deal with a 'purple sky'. According to the bible the sky will turn purple in the end days. According to science the sky turns purple after a nuclear attack... But my personal favourite is, yep, Crystal Ball: The lyrics seems to deal with making love / getting very intimate, while your and your lover are knowing that the end of the world is there. The creepy, eerie, chaotic music work perfectly with those lyrics. | |
